Another Corolle Les Cheries Doll

Hello. The doll on the left is a Corolle Les Cheries doll I found on ebay. She came to my house in need of a bath and shampooing and was only wearing her birthday suit. This is her after an evening at the spa and wearing a new dress I made her (and panties just like her sister). I actually used some of my stash on her dress. That always feels good. Here are a couple of full length pictures of the dresses.

I've always enjoyed making pillowcases. When my children were small, I'd buy a yard of print fabric of whatever they were into at the time. I've made pillowcases with everything from whales to My Little Pony on them. Spunk's bed was in need of an upgrade, so I got into my stash and made her a wolf pillowcase, a horse pillowcase, and a neon horse pillowcase for her body pillow. She's delighted.

Thanks for stopping by. =)

  1. Well, I think your Les Cheries dolls are so pretty in their new dresses, and they look happy together. Also, Spunk's bed looks soo nice! It seems like it would be comfortable to sleep in. I suppose she just has the best mom in the world!
    Love you!

  2. Corolle Les Cheries dolls must be addicting! Well, they all are, aren't they? What can you do when you see one that needs rescuing but adopt her.

And yes, Spunk, I think you have the best mom in the world too!

    1. The little Les Cheries dolls are particularly addicting. They are a nice size and have a sweet vanilla scent. Thank you for such a kind complement. We are honored to have you as a friend.

  3. The Les Cheries are very nice dolls, a good shape, good height, and head, hands and feet in proportion. Well done for rescuing the ebay one, you made her look good as new! She is lovely in her new dress. I like the hairstyle too, I'm useless styling my dolls hair.

Love those pillow cases, a very nice way to decorate the bed.

    1. Thank you, Ann. My mother fell in love with the Les Cheries dolls when I emailed her pictures of their new clothes. I'm planning on ordering her one and a knitting pattern from Ravelry. Spunk and I have been saying how she needs a hobby...something she can get excited over. I can hardly wait to see how she takes to it. Have you bought the Paola Reina doll yet? I know your other dolls would love her and welcome her into their family. =)

    2. No, I didn't get one yet. I had decided to get the Confirmation one, it was £22, then when I went to get it it had gone up to £32, what!, £10 more? So I didn't get it.

Hope your mum does take to making things for her Les Cheries, it is such a nice hobby. Everyone needs something to be passionate about, it makes life enjoyable.

    3. I am sorry the price on your doll increased so drastically. Amazon prices seem unpredictable, but I've seen them come down as well as go up. The Corolle Les Cheries' prices fluctuate a lot. If I see her price come back down, I'll let you know.

Thank you for encouraging me to get my mother into collection and knitting for dolls. She and Dad are blessed with excellent health, but I do feel like she gets bored sometimes. If dolly fever can't get her passion burning again, I don't know what will.

  4. Have you seen this site? It has some good knitting patterns for your mum to try for her Les Cheries, I've knitted the cardigan several times

    1. Thank you Ann. You are so sweet. I found that site shortly after I ordered Ines (the darked haired Les Cheries). In fact, their skirts, blouses and knickers are made from patterns found on that site. If you use the Short Sleeve Blouse pattern, there is a comment that makes it sound optional that you can lengthen the sleeves. I found out the hard way that you'll need to lengthen them half an inch if you want any sleeve at all. I shortened and increased the width of the Stretch Fabric Pants pattern for the girls' knickers (they are a just woven cotton, not knit). What a blessing that site is. I'm guessing the red/white sundress and sweater you made for Chloe in a much earlier blog posting was from that site? I thought I recognized the cardigan pattern on your blog. So many fun possibilities!

  6. Thank you again, Serenata. I think you'll love all the cute, free patterns on that site. I was inspired by the dresses you made your Les Cheries (and other dolls of that size) a few weeks ago to purchase Rosemarie Ionker's "A Closetful of Doll Clothes". I can't wait to try it out.
